Kursbeskrivning
The course gives basic knowledge about the functionality and programming of PLC-systems including HMI-units and troubleshooting of PLC-controlled machines.
We use userfriendly but powerful simulationtools and we also use some physical equipment to demonstrate functions and to enable the participants to some hands on exercises.
The software can be used for free 3 weeks from activation. We use Siemens TIA-portal as standard platform in the course since that tool is the marketleader in Europe and Sweden.
The main focus in the course is to get the basic knowledge about PLC:s and HMI:s to be able to troubleshoot machines.
The course material will be delivered by our webdisc. It includes theoretical explanations, exercises, videotutorials and more. The exercises that were presented during the course will also be available on the webdisc. The course will be recorded and be available for the participants to watch for repetitions afterwards.
PEDAGOGICAL APPROACH
The course contains both pre- and post-studies. The purpose of this is to get you as much out of the course as possible.
As PRE-STUDIES, you are given a login to our web desk before the course starts, where there is software, materials, videos and exercises. This pre-study work is done at your own pace. The purpose is for you to take the course better.
As AFTER STUDIES, you are given the opportunity to use the web desk. We upload the exercises and examples that have taken place during the course so that you can rehearse the material for future needs at your own pace.

Target group
Operators, electricians, constructors, service personnel that needs basic knowledge about PLC:s. General basic technical knowledge and basic computer knowledge.
The main focus in the course is to get the basic knowledge about PLC:s and HMI:s to be able to troubleshoot machines.
Required knowledge
Basic course without special requirements for prior knowledge in the subject, but you should be used to working in the Windows environment and take some technical ability.

About FA-Course web courses
When you participate in a web course, you take part in exactly the same educational material as in a physical classroom course. We send you physical course material and you take part in what is presented by the lecturer on your computer screen. You can also ask questions to the lecturer on an ongoing basis in writing or orally and take note of other course participants' questions and their answers from the lecturer.
The benefits of web courses are many - among other things, you avoid the cost of travel, accommodation and food packages that otherwise belong to a physical classroom course. Our web courses also enable higher participation in discussions for participants who have a challenge speaking in front of a group thanks to our courses' associated chat and discussion functions.
The price for our web courses is also lower than for our classroom courses. The price also includes shipping costs for course materials and course certificates to the desired address.

Course Certificate
A personal course certificate signed by the course coordinator is distributed after the course has been completed.
Course certificates are dated and signed only in the event of at least 80% attendance. Our rules regarding attendance follow industry practice for each course and apply to the course regardless of classroom or digital education format.
* Course certificate is saved internally at FA-Kurs for 5 years from the signed date and can be taken out free of charge twice during this period. Thereafter, an administrative cost of SEK 200 excl. VAT is paid per time you request your course certificate by post and SEK 100 excl. VAT per time you request your course certificate digitally.
