Getting Prospects to Need You 

1. The Big Five
Understand the benefits of effective buyer qualification, apply five categories of information needed to qualify, understand the three goals of qualifying, know the importance of screen test questions, apply screen test criteria when creating and implementing screen test questions, employ screen test questions to the sales funnel for advancing the sale, apply emotional intelligence for sales guidance, and know how to work strategically with eight extreme emotional intelligence states.

2. Categorizing the Field, Part II
Categorize prospects into degrees of buying readiness using a color coded system, apply appropriate strategies for selling to AA, A, B, C, D and “black hole” leads, and qualify degrees of buying commitment through blended marketing strategies.

3. Buying Influencers
Understand the buying process difference between smaller and complex sales, identify the four buying roles in complex sales, understand the need to focus on buying roles to confirm the sale, know each buyer’s role and decision variables used by each type of decision maker, know how to locate each buying influencer, apply strategies for gaining points of entry into purchasing channels, implement six strategies for selling to three types of consumer product buyers, and know how to sell to all buying influencers.

Employ the funnel for implementing next steps in advancing a sale, apply funnel qualification steps, control sales activity by implementing funnel stages, forecast results, calculate the value of your leads, define next sales steps, allocate sales time effectively, and prioritize sales activities to avoid the “Roller Coaster” effect of uneven, unpredictable sales numbers.

5. Developing Interest: Getting Prospects to Need You
Know how to help prospect recognize buying needs, apply strategies for uncovering dissatisfaction and growing interest where none existed, apply criteria for setting effective call objectives, and the control focus of dissatisfaction.
