Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course is made for all employees in an organization to participate. You will be introduced to the Lean Six Sigma business philosophy and its role in the deployment, particularly the team member role in relation to Green Belt Six Sigma projects.
In Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt you are taught specific tools such as Six Sigma process mapping, root cause analysis and graphs in relation to Six Sigma statistics. During training you undertake a specific task to solved through team work, example: to reduce variation in a business process, to conduct a Kaizen DMAIC workshop, to eliminate root causes for variation, to implement an action plan using the FMEA approach etc.
In Denmark Yellow Belt training has been integrated with adult teaching programs allowing public funding (AMU courses).
The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt program makes it possible to understand how data can help to give a greater insight and understanding of the process itself. Yellow Belt course is always directed toward the concrete realities. To work in teams with tasks in their own territory. Typically, team size of 3-5 persons. Teams managed during the course of Green Belts or we can undertake the task as an external consultant.
Lean Six Yellow Belt training can be given to employees who, for one reason or another can not attend Green Belt training at this time but must be part of Lean Six Sigma program.
We've had all types of employees at Yellow Belt ranging from executives to operators, engineers, receptionists, secretaries and cafeteria workers.

The Lean philosophy is about creating value for the customer. Identify the value stream, and get the company to work more with value creation and less with everything else. Generate more flow and less waste. Lean focuses on eliminating waste in the broadest sense in accordance with T. Ohno (1988) book en 7 deadly wastes.
Six Sigma is seen by some as a method for measuring process capability (3.4 defects in one million opportunities), or a structured approach to continuous improvement (DMAIC / DMADV), but for us it is a business philosophy that combines the first two principles and by means of accompanying tools can be used to establish a fact-based corporate culture that enhances customer satisfaction, improves product quality and delivery, reduce costs, and thus ensures the company's survival in a globalized world.
At Lean6Sigma.eu, we have combined Lean and Six Sigma to a holistic Lean Six Sigma philosophy, which is fact-based, data-driven and focused on quality improvement that drives customer satisfaction and bottom-line results by reducing waste (Muda), unwanted process variation (mura) and poor working conditions or lack of motivation (Muri). Lean6Sigma offers continuing education and training in Lean Six Sigma with White Belt, Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt and Master Black Belt certification. Our certification is based on a network of Principal Black Belts that has approved the teaching materials and participates in the certification exams. Our open courses are normally held in Danish.
