The course contains detailed information about the interfaces, protocols and procedures of the Evolved Packet System (EPS) with evolved radio access network (E-UTRAN). Special attention is given to the layer 3 protocols defined for NAS and X2, S1, S11, S5-interfaces. The radio interface layer 3 and layer 2 protocols as well as the physical layer control channels are also covered. The EPS bearer and QoS concepts are introduced. The scheduling mechanisms and Hybrid-ARQ (HARQ) functionality are described. Message flows for selected important signalling procedures are investigated step by step. The course also contains a description of some expected interworking scenarios (e.g. E-UTRAN to UTRAN handover). Basic message-level traffic cases are shown throughout the course to demonstrate important functions and concepts.

The 3 day LTE Signalling training course is developed for telecom professionals working with project and product management, hardware and software development, system engineering, testing and verification.

Swedish-based and operating globally, Apis Technical Training AB is one of the world's leading training providers in the mobile telecoms sector. From in-depth technical courses about GSM/GPRS, UMTS and EPS technologies, to seminars spotlighting topical telecom industry issues, Apis competence building training programs are geared to meet the needs of the mobile telecoms operators, system vendors and consultants throughout the world.
Apis uses Apis Dynamic Training Method™ in all courses to ensure that our students maximise their acquisition and retention of knowledge; The content of all Apis training courses is graphically represented in a mind mapping type format and is completed by the student layer by layer, and chapter by chapter, under leadership of an Apis certified instructor. This highly interactive approach has proven highly successful and is superior to the traditional methods of training such as using large number of Powerpoint slides. Apis Dynamic Training Methodology™ ensures that our customers get maximum returns on their investments in training activities for competence development.
