Android Advanced
Android Advanced is a workshop that in depth discusses Android's security model and the Dalvik virtual machine. We discuss the implementation details of Android's concept regarding security and permissions. We also place high focus on Android's runtime model and the virtual machine Dalvik. The concept with binder IPC is discussed in detail as well as the system server, process and threads coupling and the Zygote.
Objectives of the course
To achieve a deep level of understanding for the IPC model in Android and how it maps to security and application permissions. To know about advanced features and limitations of the Dalvik VM. To be able to identify and solve issues with memory usage and performance in the Android platform.
